About Us

About Us

In 1998, the Executive Church Board of Grace Assembly of God tasked a team of social workers to start a social services society. This newly formed society would embody the Parable of the Good Samaritan; to serve and reach out to people at their point of need. In 1999, REACH Family Service Centre was set up at Blk 187 Bishan Street 13. As our work in the community grew, so did our society.

Today, REACH Community Services Society serves the community through our 10 community touchpoints: Family Service Centre @ Bishan, Family Service Centre @ Sin Ming, Youth Powerhouse @ Bukit Batok, Counselling Centre @ Shunfu, Senior Centre @Jalan Membina, Senior Centre @ Bukit Batok, Senior Centre @ Bukit Gombak Vista, Active Ageing Centre (Care) @ Teck Whye Vista and Senior Care Centre @ Senja Valley.

REACH’s Transition to a
Public Company Limited by Guarantee

REACH Community Services Society, a society registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS), will be transitioning to REACH Community Services Ltd., a Public Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) registered with ACRA (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore) and governed by the Companies Act, with effect from 1 April 2024. On 2 March 2024, an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) was held and the resolution to dissolve the Society on 31 December 2024 was approved.

Our new CLG entity is registered as a Charity under the Commissioner of Charities and Institution of a Public Character (IPC). We remain as a non-profit organisation and there will be no change to our services and charitable work. Tax-deductible receipts for qualifying donations will continue to be issued.

This strategic change represents a significant milestone in enhancing the corporate governance of our organisation and in mitigation of the increasing enterprise risks associated with delivering new services. Our social mission remains unchanged – to help the Least, the Lost, and the Lonely in the community, regardless of age, race, language, or religion.
