REACH Family Service Centre Open House

FSC open house

On 23 July, Saturday, we were joined by our stakeholders and beneficiaries at our newly-renovated REACH Family Service Centre. Mr Chong Kee Hiong, Member of Parliament, Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC graced the event as Guest-of-Honour.

REACH Family Service Centre was started in 1999 by Grace Assembly of God to serve the Bishan, Sin Ming and Shunfu community. The Family Service Centre has been operating out of the premise at Block 187 Bishan Street 13 for the past 16 years.

As with many old buildings, the FSC had its share of wear and tear with spalling paint, smelly carpet as well as leaky pipes and air-conditioners. The old design conceptualised 16 years ago did not optimise the space available nor cater to the expanding needs of our clients.

Thus, it was with great relief and thanksgiving that the management committee, with the support of MSF Cyclical Maintenance funding, decided that we embark on this major cyclical maintenance in 2015.

We believe that this cyclical maintenance will allow RCSS and FSC to serve more clients in a more conducive and welcoming environment.

Thank you, Mr Chong Kee Hiong, for gracing the event and for supporting the work we do here at REACH Family Service Centre. We will continue to provide service for the residents of Bishan, Sin Ming and Shunfu.

To our stakeholders and partners, we look forward to establishing greater and bigger collaborations so that even more residents can receive help.

To the residents and our clients, we welcome you to come to REACH Family Service Centre. Facilities for academic programmes like tuition and reading programmes, counselling sessions, trainings for volunteers are now even more conducive after the cyclical maintenance.

We look forward to engage and serve the community in Bishan, Sin Ming and Shunfu even better! Thank you for your support!
