REACH E-Flag Day campaign is from now to end of September 2021.
Volunteering hours are flexible and virtual.

Community DaBao - Food & Beverage Operator

Friday | 8.30am – 12.30pm

Free training will be provided.

Service orientated and interested in serving seniors.

Fitness Facilitator

Weekly, on Mondays 4-6 pm | 2 hours per week

Looking for volunteers to assist in facilitating groups of children and youths in the fitness programme, engagement, setting up and clearing of equipment.

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge in fitness, CrossFit and/or weightlifting.

Programme is held at REACH Youth Powerhouse.

Music Mentors/Trainer​s

Twice a month on Thursdays, 4-6pm | 2 hours per session

Looking for volunteers to befriend, teach and coach/mentor community youths through a musical instrument and facilitate small band sessions. Instruments available: Vocals, Guitar, Keyboard, Percussion/Drums. Preferably a 1-year commitment.

Pre-requisites: Have basic 1-1 youth befriending and teaching skills, experience in group facilitation preferred.

Staff to schedule an interview meet-up at the centre.

Venue: REACH Youth Powerhouse. 

Youth Centre Ambassadors

Twice a month on weekdays, 4-6pm | 2 hours per session

Looking for volunteers to interact and engage with youths (finding out their strengths and needs)​, direct youths to approach staff if there are pressing needs​, and link youths’ interests to any of our Youth programmes​.

Pre-requisites: 18 years old and above, enjoy interacting with youths, preferably experienced in working with youths​, and good interpersonal skills.

Facilitator (HAPPY Exercise)​

Once a Week | 2 hours per session

Looking for facilitator to lead and assist HAPPY Exercise for elderly​.

Pre-requisites: Spoken language – Mandarin and/or English​, available for 3 half-day training sessions (to be certified)​, and comfortable to lead a group of 40 seniors. Commitment for at least 6 months.  ​

Remarks: Training is provided – 3 x 0.5 days with assessment by NUHS. Sessions on Friday mornings, 9.00am to 11.00am.

Facilitator (Music)​

Twice a Month | 2 hours per session

Looking for facilitator to assist in Ukulele / Cajon practice sessions (interest group).

Pre-requisites: Spoken language – Mandarin and/or English​ and patience with seniors, knowledge of playing ukulele and/or cajon​, and able to engage and encourage the elderly to improve​.

Remarks: Elderly have gone through Level 1 classes for both instruments.  Sessions will be in the afternoons either on Wednesday or Thursday.

Facilitator (Kopi Time)​

Twice a Month | 2 hours per session

Looking for facilitator to make “coffeeshop” drinks for elderly and facilitate games if required​.

Pre-requisites: Spoken language – Mandarin and/or English, willing to learn how to make “coffeeshop” drinks​, and enjoy engaging elderly in conversation and games​.

Remarks: small group of elderly gather for a time of fun and sharing.​ In-house training will be provided.

Facilitator (Leg Strengthening Exercise)​

Weekly​ | 1.5 – 2 hours per session

Pre-requisites: Spoken language – Mandarin and/or English​ and patience with seniors, preferably trained in this area.

Remarks: commitment for at least 6 months, sessions on Monday mornings, 9.00am to 10.30am or 11.00am.

Arts & Crafts Facilitator

Weekly/Fortnightly (weekdays only)​ | 1.5 – 2 hours per session

Looking for facilitator to engage Seniors in Arts and Crafts programme.

Pre-requisites: Spoken language – Mandarin and/or English​ and patience with seniors.

Remarks: Passionate about what is being taught. Can be just for one specific craft, ability to plan curriculum for 3 months to a year will be greatly preferred. Sessions will be on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons.

Fall Prevention Exercise

Looking for facilitator to assist the instructor in the Senior Exercise Programme, to help seniors improve in their mobility and prevent fall.

Vocal, Bi-lingual with Mandarin or Dialects, possess great interpersonal skills and love interacting with seniors. Preferably 4 months commitment.

Community Telehealth Service - Community Volunteers

REACH Senior Service is partnering with Community Telehealth Service (CTS) to provide physical health screening at Blk 377A Bukit Gombak, Bukit Batok Street 31, Singapore 651377 from 25 September 2021 for six months.

Community Telehealth Service is a public health service project initiated by NTU Graduate Students, to support active health monitoring habits among the people of Singapore.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Able to volunteer for 4 hour shifts (9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm) each time
  • Both morning and afternoon shifts are available on weekdays, while only morning shifts are available on Saturdays
  • Booth will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays every week
  • Able to carry out general health checkup procedures and interact with the seniors who have signed up for the CTS health monitoring (training will be arranged by CTS, no background knowledge is needed)
  • Need to attend one volunteer training (maximum training duration of 2 hours)
  • Volunteers will be working in twos/threes for each shift
  • Preferably able to read and understand English
